SANTA BARBARA — Senior guard Jade Smith-Williams scored a game-high 19 points and had five assists in the Anteaters’ Big West Conference game Thursday.

Mikah Maly-Karros, UCI’s leading scorer, did not play. It was a coach’s decision to leave her at home, said Stacey Shackleford, an assistant athletic director at the school.

Forward Tayler Champion made her first start for the Anteaters (13-10, 5-6 in conference). The junior finished with 14 points, four three-pointers and five rebounds.
