SANTA BARBARA — All-American outside hitter Kevin Tillie had 18 kills while hitting .485 (18-3-33) and collecting eight digs to lead the Anteaters to their fourth straight win Wednesday.
No. 2-ranked UCI beat the No. 12 Gauchos, 25-23, 27-25, 28-26, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match.
Opposite Zack la Cavera added 13 kills and seven digs, while outside hitter Connor Hughes recorded 10 kills for the Anteaters (8-3, 5-3 in the MPSF). Middle blocker Collin Mehring had a team-best three block assists and hit .750 on seven kills in eight attempts with one error. Setter Daniel Stork totaled 40 set assists and seven digs and libero Michael Brinkley led all players with 12 digs.
UCSB is 3-7, 1-5.

MOORPARK — Johannes Brink had 18 kills to lead the Pirates to a 25-21, 25-17, 25-16 season-opening win Wednesday.
Cody Martin had 13 kills for the Pirates (1-0).
