The Laguna Beach City Youth Flag Football program is offering a winter season for youth grades 2-8.
All games and clinics will be held at Laguna Beach High School’s Guyer Field. All games will be played between 8 a.m. and noon on Sundays.
Potential players are required to participate in a skills clinic from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 15 at Guyer Field. League teams will be drafted Dec. 20. Coaches for each team will determine days and times of practice sessions.

Volleyball tourneys coming
The Laguna Beach Open Men’s and Women’s Beach Volleyball Tournaments will play host to the Christmas Four Person Draw Volleyball Tournament and Potluck starting at 9 a.m. Dec. 21 at South Main Beach.
There is no registration cost.
The tournament format is a four-person (coed) draw with two divisions (Social and Open). Pool play games will be held first before the start of elimination round competition. Families will be allowed to sign up together as a team. City department and restaurant teams are also invited to participate.
Tournament participants are requested to bring a potluck dish or beverage that will serve four-to-six people.

Foot Locker regional
The 35th annual Foot Locker Cross Country Championships West Regional – Open Division, is Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
The top high school cross-country runners from more than 10 states will compete in the 5,000-meter race at the West Regional hoping to qualify for as a national finalist. The West Regional is composed of athletes from California, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and U.S. citizens in Overseas Military Installations.
The West Regional is one of four regional 5K races nationwide. The Northeast (Bronx, N.Y.), Midwest (Kenosha, Wis.), and South (Charlotte, N.C.) are holding regional races Nov. 30. Event organizers are expecting more than 10,000 of the nation’s leading high school runners to compete at the regional meets.
The top 10 finishers from each seeded regional race qualify for the Foot Locker Cross Country National Finals Dec. 14 in San Diego.
All non-high school runners are welcome to register for the Open Race. Registration can be found online at https://www.footlockercc.com.
