Boys’ Volleyball: Laguna’s Olson, Alter named to all-CIF team

Two members of the Laguna Beach High boys’ volleyball team have been named to the 2015 All-CIF Division 2 Boys’ Volleyball Team.

Senior outside hitter Dane Olson and junior middle blocker Tyler Alter were among the 12 players to make the team (presented by the LA84 Foundation), which was selected by CIF-SS Boys Volleyball Coaches’ Assn.

Olson led Laguna in kills (345) and was named co-MVP of the Orange Coast League. Alter was third in kills (242) and was first-team all-league for the 2015 season.

Taking the division’s MVP award was Woody Cook, an outside hitter from Oak Park, which defeated Laguna in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 semifinals and went on to win the championship May 23.
