Laguna’s Lewis wins fourth
Michael Lewis of Laguna Beach earned his fourth win of the season Sunday when he took the Pirelli World Challenge GTA Class at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
It was the second street circuit event of the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge season for Lewis, 24, and the No. 41 EFFORT Racing/Curb-Agajanian Porsche 911 GT3 R.
Lewis, 24, won the GTA Class finishing ahead of Martin Fuentes of Mexico City, Mexico, and Eric Lux of Buffalo, N.Y., who finished third. Olivier Beretta of Monaco won the Pirelli World Challenge, and Lewis was fourth overall.
The three-day Grand Prix started April 17.

AVP announces tourney schedule
The Assn. of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) 2015 beach volleyball tournament schedule includes seven stops in seven cities culminating in the AVP Championships in September at the Huntington Beach Pier.
Last year, Whitney Pavlik of Laguna Beach and playing partner Heather Hughes (Redondo Beach) played for the women’s title at the pier. The pair finished runner-up to champions April Ross (Costa Mesa) and Kerri Walsh Jennings (Manhattan Beach).
In addition to Huntington, the tournament returns to Cincinnati and Manhattan Beach with New Orleans, Seattle, Chicago, and a yet-to-be-announced city new stops on this year’s tour schedule. The AVP Manhattan Beach Open, in its 56th year this summer, is the longest-running tournament in the sport.
Tickets for 2015 AVP tournaments will go on sale in the coming weeks, and information will be available at https://www.AVP.com.
