Shusko signs with Santa Clara

Laguna Beach girls’ water polo player Jessica Shusko signed a National Letter of Intent on Nov. 10 with Santa Clara University and will play for Coach Keith Wilbur’s Broncos in the Western Water Polo Assn. next season.

The senior, who will serve as co-captain of this year’s Breakers squad, is a four-year varsity player. Last February, Shusko helped lead Laguna to a runner-up finish in the CIF Division II playoffs. She earned first-team All-CIF and third-team All-Southern California Water Polo and was named Laguna’s co-Defensive Player of the Year.
