The UPS Store 9, American Legion 8: Cal Nielsen and Dylan Brashier scored to lift The UPS Store to a come-from-behind victory over American Legion.

After pitchers Charlie Pillsbury of American Legion and Daniel Kimball of UPS shut down the first three batters each faced, American Legion’s Ayrton Garcia-Jurado changed the rhythm of the game in the second inning when he singled and scored on an RBI triple from Paxton Burzell. American Legion scored five runs in the inning.

After The UPS Store’s pitcher Jaden Rea struck out three in the third inning, UPS got on the scoreboard when Nielsen drove in Beck Kesler and John Hryn to bring the score to 5-2. In the top of the fourth, Lance Detweiler took the mound for UPS and struck out two. UPS then rallied to take a 7-6 lead.

American Legion scored twice in the fifth, but defensive plays by Josh Meiswinkel and Brashier got UPS out of potential jams.
