Los Amigos’ Madeline Reyes receives first-team All-Garden Grove League honors in girls’ water polo
Los Amigos High senior utility player Madeline Reyes has earned first-team All-Garden Grove League honors in girls’ water polo.
Reyes helped the Lobos (6-13, 2-2 in league) finish tied for third in the five-team league and advance to the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs. Los Amigos lost at Costa Mesa 20-5 in the first round.
Los Amigos sophomore goalkeeper Jasmine Crosthwaite was a second-team all-league selection.
La Quinta’s Crystal Hoang was the Garden Grove League MVP. Loara’s Danielle Jiron earned Offensive MVP honors, while Rancho Alamitos’ Quincy Alberto was the Defensive MVP and Allie Cole the Goalie of the Year.
La Quinta and Loara shared the league title.
