Toy Boat Toy Boat Toy Boat in Corona del Mar could be saved from the brink of closing with the help of a local radio station.

Bill Handel, KFI A.M. 640 Talk Radio host, is hosting a “Cash Mob” outside the toy store Tuesday, according to the station’s website, which asks community members to either buy a toy for their children or to donate to the local children’s hospital.

If Mike and Lori Curtin, the co-owners of the 20-year-old toy store, fail to pay this month’s rent, the beloved local toy store will have to close its doors, the Curtins said.

The Cash Mob will be at the store from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m at 3331 E. Coast Hwy.
