Volunteers sought for various roles
The Costa Mesa City Council is seeking volunteers to serve on five city committees and on the senior center’s board of directors.
Needed are four regular members and two alternates for the Cultural Arts Committee, six regular members and two alternates for the Historical Preservation Committee, four members for the ad-hoc Housing and Public Service Grant Committee, one member for the Pension Oversight Committee and eight for the Finance Advisory Committee.
The senior center, a nonprofit independent of City Hall, has two vacancies for one-year terms. Costa Mesa residency is not required for service on the center’s board.
Applications are available at the city clerk’s office or on the city’s website, https://www.costamesaca.gov. The deadline is 5 p.m. March 17. Completed forms can be submitted online, hand-delivered to the city clerk or mailed to Costa Mesa city clerk, P.O. Box 1200, Costa Mesa, CA 92628-1200.
Appointments are tentatively scheduled to be announced at the April 1 council meeting.
