Costa Mesa lawsuit: In “Police union seeks dismissal of lawsuit” (Jan. 29) it should have been clarified that Lackie, Dammeier, McGill & Ethir’s defense attorney, Jerrold Abeles, argued that private investigator Chris Lanzillo’s 911 call about Costa Mesa Mayor Jim Righeimer in August 2012 is a protected form of free speech, irrespective of it whether it was possibly made with malice or in bad faith.

District 3: In “Supervisors opt for continuity: No changes,” (Jan. 29) Orange County Supervisor Todd Spitzer was incorrectly identified as the District 1 representative. In fact, he represents District 3.

Newport Harbor Yacht Club: In a photo caption for “Yacht Club facility feeling its age,” (Jan. 24), Newport Harbor Yacht Club was identified as Newport Beach Yacht Club. The correct name is Newport Harbor Yacht Club.
