Pedestrian hit by car while crossing Coast Highway
A car stuck and injured a pedestrian trying to cross South Coast Highway at Cress Street in Laguna Beach on Monday, police said.
A 56-year-old Medford, Ore., resident was walking within the crosswalk when a Lexus RX 350 hit her at about 1:10 p.m., Sgt. Louise Callus wrote in an email.
The driver, a 59-year-old Laguna Beach man, tried to make a left turn onto South Coast Highway but failed to see the woman, Callus said.
The woman complained of pain to her left hip and leg and was transported to Mission Hospital Laguna Beach, according to police.
No arrests were made, Callus said.
