Workshop for prospective Laguna businesses
The city’s next Open for Business workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at The Susi Q senior center, 380 Third St.
Workshop participants will include planning commissioners Norm Grossman and Linda Dietrich, Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce executive director Kristine Thalman, and principal planner Monica Tuchscher.
“Many prospective business people want to discuss their issues before they initiate formal applications with the city,” planning commissioner and workshop coordinator Anne Johnson said in a news release. “Just discussing their concerns and issues informally seems to help.”
As a result of the free workshops last year, several new businesses moved or are considering moving into Laguna Beach.
“We are reaching out to business owners, building owners, commercial realtors and others to let them know that we want to encourage and support new business in Laguna Beach,” Mayor Kelly Boyd said in the release.
For more information, contact Tuchscher at (949) 497-0745 or [email protected].
