Police seek man in attempted sexual assault
Huntington Beach police are asking the public to help identify a man who attempted to sexually assault a female jogger in August.
Authorities describe him as Latino and about 5-foot-10 and 140 pounds. They say he was wearing a light-gray T-shirt, dark jeans and black shoes with orange laces at the time of the attack.
The crime occurred at 6:45 a.m. Aug. 28 near Huntington Village Lane and Center Avenue. Authorities say the man was following the jogger, who
ran toward her apartment. They say the attacker pushed the woman to the ground and attempted to sexually assault her, ripping her shirt.
The victim managed to get away.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Det. Trent Tunstall at (714) 536-5995.
