Motorcyclist killed in seven-vehicle accident

A motorcyclist died Thursday after a 5:20 p.m. collision with a vehicle at Bristol Street and Campus Drive in Newport Beach, police said.
The male rider was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana where he succumbed to his injuries, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
Police officials did not release the name of the deceased rider pending notification of his relatives.
Details of the crash were not immediately available for release, police said.
