Bicyclist injured in crash

A cyclist was taken to a local trauma center after a crash with a vehicle in Corona del Mar, police said Thursday.

The crash happened about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday at Harbor View Drive and Sea Lane, said Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella.

Both the Police and Fire departments responded to the scene.

The cyclist complained of back pain and was taken to a local hospital then released without significant injury, according to Manzella.

No arrests were made, and no citations were issued, Manzella said. However, citations could be handed out during the course of the investigation, she said.
