AREA 1

South Coast Highway: A caller reported transients setting up camp against the lifeguard headquarters building in the 100 block at 11:12 a.m. Sunday.

South Coast Highway: A caller reported a suspicious man on Main Beach at 12:17 p.m. Sunday. The caller reported seeing a man at 6 p.m. the previous day with a snake around his neck, wearing a red hat with gold elephants on it. The caller said the man walked up to kids and asked them if they wanted to hold the snake.

South Coast Highway: A caller reported a disorderly person in the 100 block at 7:01 p.m. Sunday. The caller said a man in his late 50s with a white T-shirt, blue jacket and brown pants was harassing customers at the Starbucks.

Treetop Lane: A caller reported people sleeping in a motorhome in the parking lot of Top of the World Elementary School in the 21600 block at 9:58 a.m. Friday.

Ocean Avenue: A caller reported a wallet stolen in the 200 block at 1:26 p.m. Friday.

Ocean Avenue: A caller reported two serving spoons taken from her bag in the 300 block, at Havoc Consignment, at 4:36 p.m. Friday.

Skyline Drive: A caller reported two juveniles skateboarding down a hill in the 1300 block at 9:04 a.m. Sunday.

Ocean Avenue: A caller reported a suspicious person in the 200 block at 3:23 p.m. Sunday. The caller said a homeless man, wearing a gray blanket, stood behind people at an ATM and asked them for money.

South Coast Highway: A caller reported someone using checks in her name in the 2800 block at 1:04 p.m. Friday. Approximate loss is $4,600.

South Coast Highway and Oak Street: A man reported tripping over CalTrans tools left on the sidewalk at 5:46 p.m. Friday.

Glenneyre Street: A caller reported trespassing inside a vacant home for sale in the 2400 block at 6:38 p.m. Friday. The caller said there was a man dressed in women’s clothing inside the home. The caller reported bottles of liquor inside.

Rockledge Road: A woman reported a suspicious person in the 0 block at 9:44 a.m. Sunday. The caller said she saw a man walk into a house under construction. She gave no description of the suspect.

Cress Street and South Coast Highway: A caller reported a phone stolen at 3:23 p.m. Sunday.
