Robin Adell McIntyre
June 27, 1918 - November 3, 2012
Robin Adell McIntyre passed away peacefully in Newport Beach on November 3, 2012 at the age of 94. She lived a full and happy life!
Robin was the eldest child of Helen and Sydney Rule and was predeceased by her brothers Sydney and Ronald and her parents. She was born in Oakland, California and was proud to be a fourth generation Californian. Robin grew up in Pasadena and met the love of her life, Charles at Stanford University. They married in 1941, spent some time on the east coast during the war, and returned to California where they spent most of their married life. They had two daughters, Bonnie and Vicki.
Robin and Charles moved to Newport Beach in 1976. She played golf with her husband as well as the ladies at Big Canyon Country Club. She joined the Cinderella Guild of Children’s Hospital where she worked diligently to raise funds for CHOC - serving as co-editor of their amazing cookbook and supporting all their other endeavors.
Robin loved to garden and each one of their homes had a beautiful flower garden. She was an avid reader with a huge collection of books and a fantastic bridge player. Her favorite things were: sunset views of the ocean from their patio, new mystery novels, and fresh flowers in every room!
She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Charles. She leaves behind 2 daughters, Bonnie (Mrs. Gerald McClellan) of Newport Beach, Vicki (Mrs. Tom Nordquist) of Seattle: 4 grandchildren, Amy McClellan FitzGibbon, Scott McClellan, Heather, and Ryan Nordquist, and 3 great-grandchildren; Paige, James and Patrick FitzGibbon.
Services will be private.
