Sailing enthusiast: The name of Ted Hinshaw’s son in the July 29 article “Sailing enthusiast was yachting commissioner of 1984 Olympic Games” was misspelled in Sunday’s article about the Newport Beach sailor who died July 24. His son’s name is Marc, not Mac.

405 widening project: A July 28 article “Group: Widen the 405” on the proposed San Diego (405) Freeway widening misstated the Costa Mesa City Council’s opposition to a series of three proposals. The council does not disagree with each proposal. It prefers Option 2.
