Seeing science up close
About 100 second-graders gathered in the multipurpose room at El Morro Elementary School on Friday to get an up-close look at the critters and plants that live in deserts during “Science on the Go.”
“Mrs. K” showed the kids everything from beetles to cactus to a rattlesnake’s rattle, as resounding “oohs” and “ahhs” came from the young audience.
Students had to be told to stay seated as they squirmed in excitement at the presentation, which educated the students about nature.
“Science on the Go” was presented to various grade levels during the day.
