Surf contest is this weekend

Newport Beach will hold the city’s 23rd annual Surf Championships on Saturday and Sunday. The contest will be held at 54th Street or 56th Street, depending on surf conditions. The contest is open to amateur recreational surfers and the deadline for registration is Thursday. For more information or a registration form, call (949) 644-3151.
