Golf resort receives top rating for third year
The Resort at Pelican Hill was recognized as a AAA Five Diamond destination for the third consecutive year since opening in 2008, a resort spokeswoman announced.
American Automobile Assn. diamond ratings are determined by an evaluation of a resort’s level of service, decor and amenities, according to company spokeswoman Kate Starr.
“As our third anniversary approaches later this fall, the entire Pelican Hill team is honored to be recognized with the AAA Five Diamond Award for the third time, Giuseppe Lama, resort managing director, said in a prepared statement. “We are pleased to uphold the highest hospitality standards and deliver unprecedented guest experiences, as one of the world’s top destinations for luxury, value and service, as well as the finest dining, golf, spa and recreational amenities.”
Earlier this year, the resort along Newport Coast was named 2010 Readers’ Choice No.1 California Golf Resort in Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
