Selevan is league’s best
Laguna Beach High senior guard Adam Selevan was named Most Valuable Player of the Orange Coast League for boys’ basketball, in voting by league coaches.
Selevan, the only returning starter from last year’s team, averaged a team-best 15.7 points per game for the Breakers. He helped Laguna Beach win its fourth straight league title, despite missing time early in the season due to a back injury.
Selevan was joined on the first team by freshman guard Jake Dalke, who averaged 8.5 points per game.
Sophomore point guard Tyler Masukawa and sophomore forward Derek Reigel were both named second-team all-league. Laguna Beach finished the season 10-14 after losing in overtime in the first round of CIF to JSerra.
