Art Walk

Join member galleries from 6 to 9 p.m. the first Thursday of each month for a festive cultural evening. The next Art Walk is Thursday . Asterisk [*] denotes participating galleries.

 5 p.m. Thursday: Community Art Project dedication of “Divers Cove” by Mike Tauber at Wells Fargo Bank, 260 Ocean Ave. Reception following at Studio Arts Gallery, 1200 S. Coast Hwy.

Dedicated shuttle service starting at 6:15 p.m. from the Laguna Art Museum at North Coast Highway and Cliff Drive, and Bluebird Center, 1590 S. Coast Hwy. Shuttles run until 8:45 p.m.

Children younger than 12 are admitted free. The museum is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s days. Free admission on First Thursdays Art Walk nights.

 OsCene 2010: Survey exhibition drawn from artists working in all media including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, multimedia installations, video, architecture, performance, and design. The survey will focus on artists based in Orange County and Long Beach. OsCene 2010 is in the main gallery through May 16.

Special events:

 6 tonight: Reality Bites Documentary Night featuring short films: “When I’m Not Alone” by Rhianon Gutierrez; “Grief Becomes Me” by Christine Fugate; “James Koch: Found Art” by Carole Zavala; and “Internet & Tea” by Alborz Kamalized. Admission is $5 and includes wine and popcorn.
