RIVERSIDE — Freshman Amanda Deal had 14 points for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Friday night.

Freshmen Michelle Yamasaki scored 13 points and Samantha Hansen added 12 points for OCC (13-11, 2-5).

Riverside sophomore guard Alexis Fowler hit the game-winning three-pointer with nine seconds left.

Hansen had a chance to win it at the buzzer, but her turnaround jump shot from the three-point line was off the mark.

OCC (13-11, 2-5 in conference) battled back from a 34-26 halftime deficit as the Pirates and Riverside (18-6, 6-1) combined for six ties and 10 lead changes in the final 20 minutes. OCC will play host to Saddleback Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

RIVERSIDE — Sophomore Chris Curtis scored 14 points for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Friday night.

Sophomore Chad Delaney added 13 points for OCC (9-13, 3-4 in conference).

Kevin Bradshaw led the Tigers (19-4, 7-0) with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Riverside used a 10-0 run in the first half to gain control early. By halftime, the Tigers held a 40-26 lead and extended it to 65-37 with 10:14 left.
