More work needed on OC Fairgrounds bill
State Assemblymen Jose Solorio and Van Tran decided to pull AB1590 from the floor of the Assembly because the language of the bill no longer was strong enough after being amended in the appropriation committee.
The bill, which is designed to rescind an earlier bill that authorized the sale of the Orange County Fairgrounds, was scheduled to go on the floor of the Assembly this week.
The assemblymen are now reassessing the bill and working on a way to make it stronger before it goes on the Assembly floor. They might even decide to start over with a new bill that contains AB1590’s original language.
More to come.
