IRVINE — Ally Brahs, Hayley Raguse and Emily Krebs had a goal and an assist each for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Thursday.

Nikki Flinn scored a goal off an assist from Rachel Kerce to give CdM (10-8-3, 4-3 in league) a 4-0 lead in the first half.

The Sea Kings face University Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. at Las Lomas Park.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — The Sailors produced six shots in the Sunset League game Thursday.

Newport Harbor midfielders Gillian Hogan and Jill Messersmith, as well as sophomore sweeper Shannon Boler contributed strong play throughout the game.

The Sailors (4-7-5, 2-2-1 in league) will play host to Edison Saturday at 1 p.m.

NEWPORT HARBOR — Senior Rene Escolero won his 215-pound match for the Sailors, who had five other individual wins during the Sunset League dual meet Thursday.

Also victorious for Newport Harbor (5-9, 0-4 in league) were Jesus Diaz (119 pounds), Ryan Cerrato (152), John Leyva (160), Nathan Dickey (171) and Bradley Beaudette (189).

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Junior center Alex Morton had 11 points and 21 rebounds, but the Sailors couldn’t go ahead or tie it with three seconds left in the Sunset League game Thursday night.

Coach Justin Long said Newport Harbor (9-13, 1-5 in league) missed a three-pointer and a layup late.

Mandy Legault had seven points, five rebounds and two steals. She injured her left ankle early in the third quarter, when Long said the Sailors led by as many as 10 points.

Kasey Thompson had 10 points and nine rebounds for Newport, which is at Los Alamitos on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
