Tinkerbelle

Six kittens were born to the pretty silver-gray-and-white momma cat Tinkerbelle since her December rescue from the grounds of a local correctional facility when she was pregnant.

The mother cat was named Tinkerbelle after the Disney fairy who used her “fairy dust” to fly free of Captain Hook’s capture. Her kittens are 7 weeks old, and the family continues to live at a local vet hospital until a foster parent can be found.

“We really need the community’s help to foster these animals,” said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of Community Animal Network. “We offer 40 hours of high school community service credit for six months of service.”

Call (949) 749-3646 to become a foster parent to an animal in need.

See photos of available animals at www.animalnetwork.org, or come meet cats and kittens up for adoption from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Fashion Island, sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience.

If you can make a monetary donation to help local animals, mail your check to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658 and memo your check nonprofit tax ID 33-0971560.
