Before it’s time to begin eagerly checking off the health and lifestyle improvements you have scribbled at the top of your New Year’s resolution list, bid 2009 adieu with one last evening of festive debauchery. Many restaurants in Laguna Beach will offer delectable cuisine specials, copious amounts of bubbly and live entertainment. So grab your friends and loved ones in celebration of last year’s successes, next year’s goals and, most importantly, each other. Happy 2010!

 Claes at Hotel Laguna, 425 S. Coast Hwy., will feature a full menu with New Year’s Eve specials, including a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Dance the night away from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with DJ Dave in the Lounge. Call (949) 376-9283.

 The Cliff, 577 S. Coast Hwy., will offer complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drink specials all evening, and will feature a deejay from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the bar.  French 75, 1464 S. Coast Hwy., will serve a three-course Prix-Fix menu from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at $70 per person and from 8 p.m. to close, which includes a complimentary champagne toast at $110/person. There will also be live piano jazz from 8 p.m. to midnight. Call (949) 494-8444.

 Hush, 858 S. Coast Hwy., will offer two elegant dinner specials. The first seating, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., will feature four courses for $49 per person. The second, from 9 to 10:30 p.m. will include five courses and a complimentary bottle of Veuve Clicquot (half-bottle for two people, full bottle for four) for $140 per person.   K’ya Bistro & Rooftop Lounge at Hotel La Casa del Camino, 1287 S. Coast Hwy., will feature a special holiday menu in addition to their regular menu on New Year’s Eve and Day, as well as live entertainment in the hotel lobby and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Call (949) 376-9718.

 Lumberyard Restaurant, 384 Forest Ave., No. 10, will feature “fun” dinner specials and live entertainment by acoustic singer-songwriter Ray Jordan from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Call (949) 715-3900.

 Marine Room, 214 Ocean Ave., will celebrate the New Year with one of its local favorites, the Tricia Freeman Band, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. They will also ring in the New Year with a special toast and songs at midnight, complete with party hats and noisemakers. Call (949) 494-3027.

 Mozambique, 1740 S. Coast Hwy., will rock into the New Year with two holiday parties. Downstairs, a Masquerade Disco Ball to benefit the Mauli Ola Foundation, will be from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., and will feature “The Brothers from Another Mother,” prizes and complimentary masks and champagne. Cost is $20 at the door. Upstairs, the Shebeen Lounge will feature two dinner offerings. The first three-course seating, from 5 to 7 p.m., is $30 per person; the second, a four-course seating from 7:30 to 10 p.m., is $55 per person.
