Huntington Valley holding sign-ups
Huntington Valley Little League is holding its final in-person sign-ups for spring Saturday. Registration will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the Huntington Valley fields, 9191 Pioneer Ave. in Huntington Beach, near Magnolia Boulevard and Adams Avenue. All players must have an original birth certificate, three documents indicating proof of residency and payment for fees due. Costs are $75 for T-ball division, $120 for Little League division and $175 for both Junior and Senior divisions. Fees will increase by $20 per player after Saturday.

Holy Rollers win in junior high hockey
Huntington Beach’s Holly Rollers junior high in-line hockey team rolled to an 11-1 victory over Garden Grove’s Hilton D. Bell Intermediate School in recent action.
The competitive junior high league plays Monday nights at the Rinks in Huntington Beach.
Drew Truxaw led the Holy Rollers attack with three goals and one assist, Toby Costa had two goals and two assists and Jeffrey Beko played a key role with one goal and five assists.
Both Jack Truxaw with one assist, as well as Alex Buyan with one goal, played stellar defense throughout the match. Holy Roller goalie Kevin Baumann recorded a near-shutout, with Bell’s Ryan Beardshear netting the team’s only score.
