NEWPORT COAST — Senior Lindsey Kish had 13 kills, two blocks and one ace to lead the Sage Hill School girls’ volleyball team to a 25-12, 27-25, 25-15 win over Jurupa Valley in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division IV-AA playoffs Tuesday.
Sophomore Zoe Kreitenberg had eight kills and six blocks, while sophomore Natasha Sakraney had 10 digs, six kills and three aces for Sage Hill (14-10). Lightning senior setter Hanna Hunt had 28 assists, six digs, two blocks and two kills.
Sage Hill will play against Western Christian of Covina in the second round Thursday at a site to be determined by a coin toss.
The Lancers defeated Crossroads, 25-20, 25-12, 18-25, 25-17, in the first round.
GIRLS’ TENNIS
Moorpark 14, Estancia 4
COSTA MESA — Senior Kendra Fisher swept at No. 1 singles, but the Eagles were eliminated after the CIF Southern Section Division I wild-card match Tuesday at Estancia
Fisher won, 6-2, 7-6 (3), 6-1. The No. 1 doubles team of junior Erin O’Neil and senior Misha Brown won, 7-5 for Estancia (8-10).
Fisher’s season continues, as she reached the title match in singles at the Orange Coast League finals last week.
She will compete in the CIF Individuals that begin Nov. 20.

El Toro def. Estancia
LAKE FOREST — El Toro swept Estancia, 25-17, 25-16, 25-19, in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division I-A playoffs Tuesday night.
The Eagles, who finished the season at 15-11, advanced out of their opening-round game in the previous four years.
