Jerry Brown coming to UC Irvine
California Atty. Gen. Edmund G. “Jerry” Brown, a former Democratic governor who’s exploring a run for the 2010 gubernatorial election, will speak at UC Irvine on Oct. 29.
Brown will visit the campus next Thursday, where he will talk about his 40-year career in politics and take questions about California’s future. He’ll be giving the Jack W. Peltason Lecture, sponsored by the School of Social Sciences’ Center for the Study of Democracy.
The lecture will take place from 2 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. at the UCI Student Center’s Crystal Cove Auditorium. For more information, call (949) 824-2904.
