Bate, Howard F.R.,

Bate, Howard F.R., of Santa Ana passed away August 23 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 9th, 1921 in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Howard was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary in 1995. He is survived by his sons Leslie and Terry; his daughter Lorraine; one sister Pat of Canada and 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Howard was past Worshipful Master of the Sea Farring Lodge, Newport Beach and was Thirty Second Mason and a recipient of the Hiram Award. His humanitarian efforts were also spent in the Loyal Order of the Moose where he obtained the highest award, The Pilgrim Degree. He will remain lovingly forever in our hearts and deeply missed by countless family and friends including his devoted caregivers, Paul and Jeffi.
