Newport businesses on back tax list
The state Board of Equalization has released its list of businesses in the state that owe the most in back taxes, and two Newport Beach businesses are on it.
According to a list of 250 businesses who owe California the most money in unpaid taxes, Linda Lee Rock, which the state has a listed address for at 123 Via Antibes, owes more than $1.2 million to California. The debt has yet to be paid, state officials said, and the first lien against the property was issued in October 2007.
The second business is Poso Media LLC, which the state has listed at 103 Linda Isle. According to the state board, the company owes more than $576,000 and had a lien put against it in November 2007.
Both companies were notified a month before this information was released, state officials said. Attempts to reach either business were unsuccessful Friday.
