CORONA DEL MAR — Michael Bloom doubled and had two RBIs for the Sea Kings in the third-place game of the Beach Pit Classic Wednesday.

Will Morrow also had a double and Parker Werline pitched two scoreless innings for CdM (8-7), which plays host to Beckman Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Junior Tyler Peterson pitched six innings and helped himself out with a two-run home run in the Mustangs’ consolation game at the Beach Pit Classic Wednesday.

Peterson improved to 4-1 after giving up six hits and striking out one batter. His homer in the third inning put the Mustangs ahead, 5-2.

Mikey Molina went four for four with two doubles and he scored twice for Costa Mesa (10-5).

COSTA MESA — The Eagles gave up four runs in the final inning of a consolation game of the Beach Pit Classic Wednesday.

Estancia’s Tyler De La Pena struck out three in his complete game. Ryan Cherney, who reached on an error, scored the lone run for the Eagles (5-10) in the first inning. He scored on an error.

Estancia had shut out the past two teams it faced in the Beach Pit Classic.
