UCI sweeps Hawaii for second time in two days

The No. 1-ranked UC Irvine men’s volleyball team got past No. 13 Hawaii, 30-19, 30-24, 32-30, in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match Friday night at the Bren Events Center.

Carlson Clark had 20 kills to lead the Anteaters (19-3, 14-2 in conference), who swept Hawaii for the second straight night. Austin D’Amore had 10 kills and Taylor Wilson added eight.

Ryan Ammerman had 50 assists for UCI, which had Wilson and Jordan DuFault tie for the team lead with six digs.

Brennon Dyer led Hawaii (6-15, 3-13) with 11 kills.

UC Irvine plays at BYU on Thursday.
