Man killed in accident on Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach
A Garden Grove man died Friday morning after being struck by sport-utility vehicle while crossing Warner Avenue, officials said.
The 67-year-old man, who has not been identified yet pending family notification, was crossing Warner Avenue northbound at Leslie Lane, one-fifth of a mile east of Bolsa Chica Street, about 5:56 a.m. when a white Land Rover driven by Jorge Salazarleon of Huntington Beach struck him, preliminary police investigations indicate.
He was taken to Huntington Beach Hospital, where he died about half an hour later from his injuries, according to the Orange County coroner’s office. Salazarleon was not injured and has not been cited so far, police said.
