David Edward Halliday

Halliday, David Edward, 68 of Newport Beach passed away at

his home on Thursday, February 19th, 2009. David Halliday

was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on February 3rd, 1941.

David’s esteemed career in sales and marketing spanned over

48 years, starting in Publishing Sales at McCall’s Magazine

and ending with his own thriving entrepreneurial venture,

Genesis Graphics. His love of people helped to nurture

deep-rooted relationships and his passion for the art-of-thedeal

cultivated a savvy business reputation.

David is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Halliday,

his mother, Cleo Quinn Halliday and three sisters Betsy,

Nancy, Patsy.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Connie, and

cherished daughters Holly Toomey of Denver, Colorado, Jennifer

Halliday of Los Angeles, California and his dear cousin

Timothy E. Quinn. He is also survived by his grandsons

Ryan and Matthew Toomey and sons-in-law, Christopher

Toomey and Brian Cameron.

David was known for his rich friendships, his warm and

generous heart and his wonderfully contagious sense of humor.

He was a proud and active patriotic citizen and served

his country in the Marines. Active in his community, David

exercised strong leadership in his homeowners association.

David’s memorial and celebration of life will be held on

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 from 3pm to 6pm at the Santa

Ana Country Club at 20382 Newport Boulevard, Santa Ana,

92707.
