Wedding Terrace holds open house

Laguna Village will host a Bridal Open House from noon to 6 p.m. March 8 at 557 S. Coast Hwy. to showcase the Laguna Village Wedding and Events Terrace.

Crystal presentation will be at Pure Light

Heather Rose will present a free crystal presentation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 7 at Pure Light Candle Studio. The presentation will provide information about crystal types, properties, and how they can be of benefit spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally.

Woodhouse named a ‘Super Lawyer’

Violet P. Woodhouse, a certified family law specialist and certified financial planner, has recently been named a Southern California Super Lawyer for 2009. She has received this honor for six consecutive years.

This year, more than 800,000 ballots were mailed asking lawyers to nominate the best of their peers, as based on their first-hand knowledge of these lawyers in action.

The 2009 Southern California Super Lawyers list will be published in an upcoming issue of Los Angeles Magazine and in a special publication, Southern California Super Lawyers, which is a joint project of the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine. Woodhouse is a former recipient of the National Leadership Award for her dedication to the Republican Party. Dyer takes over chiropractic office

The late Julian Vickers served the Laguna Beach community for 15 years. Michael Dyer took over the practice, at 255 Thalia St., Suite B, in January.

Dyer is holding an open house to introduce himself to the community from 4 to 7:30 p.m. March 18, with free chair massages and refreshments.

Dyer first became exposed to chiropractic after sustaining a low back injury playing football as a teenager. After a series of chiropractic treatments, he was able to heal without the use of medication or surgery.

Amazed at the results, he decided to go to chiropractic school. After graduating from New York Chiropractic in 2000, Dyer opened a practice in Garden City, N.Y., and practiced there for eight years.

Fulfilling a dream, he moved to California in October.
