Areo hosts ‘Food for Talk’ author

Areo is holding an open house and launch party for Julienne Smith’s “Food for Talk: Couples Edition,” a collection of conversation cards with quotes and questions to help couples talk about intimate issues.

The event, noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, will feature Sam Sporasio singing Frank Sinatra tunes, wine and appetizers.

Chamber holds awards dinner

The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce & Civic Assn. will hold its annual Spirit of Laguna Awards and Installation Dinner from 7 to 10 tonight at Tivoli Too!, 777 Laguna Canyon Road.

YogaWorks helping Ecology Center

YogaWorks Laguna is holding a benefit event Feb. 7 for the Ecology Center at South Coast Farms in San Juan Capistrano.

The Ecology Center teaches practical environmental solutions at the household and community level.

YogaWorks will offer donation-only classes from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Feb. 7, with proceeds benefiting the Ecology Center.

Also, Max Isles will teach a Sivananda Yoga Workshop from 2 to 4 p.m., also on a donation basis. The two-hour class is suitable for all levels.
