A former Laguna Niguel choir director accused of having a sexual relationship with a Costa Mesa teenager more than a decade ago will be sentenced in court today.

Albert L. Schildknecht, 57, pleaded guilty earlier this month to two felonies of oral copulation with a minor and digital penetration of a minor after the woman was interviewed by detectives in 2007. The woman, now more than 30 years old, told detectives she and Schildknecht carried on a sexual relationship from 1995 to 1997.

The then-16- to 17-year-old girl sang in the youth choir for St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Laguna Niguel, where Schildknecht was the director. He will be sentenced in Santa Ana this morning.
