Volunteers placed wreaths on graves at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach on Saturday as part of Wreaths Across America.

Wreaths are placed on the graves of veterans for the holidays during the nationwide event. This was the first year Pacific View Memorial Park participated in Wreaths Across America. The Patriot Guard Riders of Southern California motorcycle club helped organize the event on Saturday.

About 100,000 wreaths were placed on the graves of veterans at more than 350 cemeteries across the country this year as part of Wreaths Across America, sponsored each year by the Worcester Wreath Company.
