OCC to hold annual holiday poinsettia sale

OCC’s Ornamental Horticulture Department will be opening its greenhouses to sell holiday poinsettias for the 31st year in a row Friday.

Students in that department’s classes grew 11,000 plants this year, all of which will be up for sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Prices range from $5 to $40 for a single plant.

For more information, or to pre-order poinsettias, go to occhorticulture.com. Only orders of $100 or more can be taken ahead of time, and order forms are due by Tuesday.

Proceeds from the sale go to fund the department.
