Eduardo S. Escalona, M.D.

June 19, 1923 – September 30, 2008

Born in San Carlos, Chile, Dr. Escalona completed his medical

training at the Universidad de Chile in Santiago in

1948. He practiced medicine for many years in Viña del Mar,

Chile, and then moved to the Seattle, Washington area in 1968

where he completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Virginia

Mason Medical Center. Dr. Escalona practiced at Evergreen

Hospital in Kirkland, Washington until his retirement in 1990

when he moved to Costa Mesa, California to be near his sister.

Surviving are his son, Francisco Escalona (Angela) of

Woodinville, WA; his daughter Maria Ines Escalona (Eduardo

Engler) of Osorno, Chile; his daughter Marisol Bustamante (Jaime

Romero) of Panama City, Panama; and his sister Fresia Escalona

of Newport Beach, CA.

Memorial services will be held in Chile.
