IRVINE — Junior Joey Dinh scored three goals and Junior Marlo Afuang added two assists and one steal to his lone goal to help the Mustangs claim the nonleague game Monday at the Patriots’ pool.

Junior goalie Jackson O’Connor made seven saves and added two assists and a steal for the Mustangs, who improved to 6-3.

COSTA MESA — Sophomore Ashley Peters earned medalist honors to lead the Eagles in the nonleague match Monday against the Nevada-based school at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club’s Mesa Linda course.

Peters shot seven-over-par 42 over nine holes. Kim Haycraft, Nushin, Tasbihchi (46), Jackie Crosson (48) and Nicole Irigoyen (49) also scored for the Eagles (7-2).

Kings Tournament

MORENO VALLEY — Junior Ali Thomas shot seven-over-par 79 over 18 holes to help Newport Harbor High finish sixth in the 22-team event Monday at the Ranch at Moreno Valley.

Lauren Draganza (81), Lindsey Hanna (84), Tiffany Kane (89), Morgan Moody and (90) all contributed to the team score for the Sailors.

IRVINE — Hyebin Hong shot 46 to pace the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League match Monday at Oak Creek Golf Club.

Ashley Varner (48), Kelly Moorhead (49) and Tess Crane (49), Lisa Chan (52) and Caitlin Shinohara (52) also contributed for Corona del Mar (4-6, 1-2 in league).
