H.B. adult film star faces year in prison, $100,000 fine

A Huntington Beach adult film actress has pleaded guilty in Eugene, Ore., to failing to pay taxes.

Janine Marie James, 39, pleaded guilty Friday in a federal court to the failure to pay $200,000 in federal income taxes and could now face jail time or fines, federal prosecutors said in a news release. James admitted in her plea that even as she didn’t pay the IRS, she bought a $647,000 home in Eugene, as well as a Jeep and RV.

James, also known as Janine Lindemulder, faces up to a year in prison and $100,000 in fines, as well as a requirement to pay all taxes owed, according to federal prosecutors.

The adult film star and former Penthouse model was formerly married to Jesse James, host of the Discovery Channel show “Monster Garage.” The two had a daughter, Sunny, in 2004, but divorced around that time. Jesse James later remarried and now lives in Sunset Beach with his current wife, actress Sandra Bullock.

Janine James is also known for appearing on the CD cover of pop-punk band Blink 182’s “Enema of the State” album.

Efforts to reach James or her lawyer were unsuccessful.

James’ sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 24.
