Newport Pair Scorch the Desert

Luke Shea and Landon Knight took 6 firsts, a second and two thirds in SCPGA (Southern California Professional Golf Association) Junior Tourneys the week of July 7th.

Shea had a clean sweep, winning all the tourneys he entered in the 9 to 11 age group.

His victories included:

Bob VonStoch Memorial Tournament at Chaparral Country Club

Shadow Mountain Junior Championship at Shadow Mountain Golf Club

Santa Rosa Junior Championship and JDL Event at Santa Rosa Country Club. Knight finished first 3 times 2nd once and third twice. Knight plays in the 12 to 13 age group.

Knight first place finishes included:

Bob VonStoch Memorial Tournament at Chaparral Country Club

Shadow Mountain Junior Championship at Shadow Mountain Golf Club

Sunrise Junior Championship at Sunrise Country Club

Shea moved from 10th to second in Desert Tournament Standings while Knight is in second also, 4 points out of first place.

Both call Big Canyon their home course and will be 6th graders at Harbor Day next fall.
