Arches to host special fundraiser for troops

In an effort to raise money and morale for U.S. troops, the Arches in Newport Beach is hosting a special charity event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Operation Homefront is a nonprofit group that provides emergency assistance and a morale boost to troops. The group also helps families who have lost someone in the military or soldiers who have been wounded.

The group also provides computer programs to give families contact with their loved ones overseas, moving help, social outreach and a furniture program.

General admission for the fundraiser is $100, while a host committee is $500.

The requested attire is business casual. Arches is asking for persons to make reservations to Gina Malone at (714) 444-0075, ext. 105.
