The Hot Shots fell behind the Lightning Blades in the early stages of Saturday’s Campbell Division title game but stormed back to score the final six goals of the match to claim a 6-1 victory and the title at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Jake Coon scored off an assist from Konnor Schnack just one minute into the contest to give the Lightning Blades a 1-0 lead. The Hot Shots drew even when Shane Martinez scored at the 10:09 mark, then used goals by Jordon Corwin and David Cortez before the first period ended — with Cortez’s score coming off a feed from Corwin — to grab a 3-1 lead.

The Hot Shots increased their lead to 4-1 when Jackson McCleery scored off a set-up by Martinez in the second period. They then put the match away when Cortez and Corwin both scored in the third period.
