Area 1

Cliff Drive: A swimmer was rescued from a rip current by lifeguards in the 1200 block at 1:56 p.m. Wednesday.

Cliff Drive: A pelican and sea gull tangled in fishing line were rescued from the 1200 block of the beach at 2:47 p.m. Sunday.

Cliff Drive: An injured seal was rescued in the 1200 block of the beach at 5:10 p.m. Monday.

Cliff Drive: A citation was issued for illegal fishing in the 600 block of Diver’s Cove at 8:49 a.m. Tuesday.

North Coast Highway: The Harbor Patrol was called to help a distressed vessel about a mile offshore the 100 block of Main Beach at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

North Coast Highway: A homeless man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 100 block at 6:11 p.m. Thursday.

North Coast Highway: A car cover valued at $100, and a UPS package valued at $1,000 were reported stolen from the 500 block at 11:32 a.m. Friday.

North Coast Highway: A woman was arrested on a burglary warrant after being reported sleeping on a bench in the 1400 block at 3:28 p.m. Saturday.

Riviera Drive: A sea lion was taken into custody on the beach in the 2400 block at 12:12 p.m. Sunday.

Laguna Canyon Road: An Irvine man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in a trailer park in the 1100 block at 9:45 p.m. Friday.

Forest Avenue: A Santa Barbara man was arrested after police were called because his guitar playing was disturbing people in the 200 block at 12:14 p.m. Thursday.

Forest Avenue: A business sustained a $700 loss in a burglary after a window was smashed in the 300 block at 2:49 a.m. Thursday.

Forest Avenue: A shop owner accused a former employee of embezzlement in the 200 block at 11:33 a.m. Wednesday.

Glenneyre Street: A skateboarder was treated for a wound to the back of the head after falling at Park Avenue at 4:16 p.m. Thursday.

Glenneyre Street: A Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after he was found passed out in a parking lot in the 300 block at 10:14 a.m. Monday.

Ocean Avenue: A Ladera Ranch man was issued a citation for drug use in the 200 block at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday.

Ocean Avenue: A New Mexico woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, and a San Clemente man was arrested on a warrant, at 12:44 a.m. Sunday.

Park Avenue: A credit card was reported stolen from a student’s backpack at a school in the 600 block and later used at a local lunch stand at 12:56 p.m. Wednesday.

Park Avenue: A homeless man was issued a citation for marijuana after he was reported smoking in an alcove behind a building in the 300 block at 12:46 p.m. Thursday.

South Coast Highway: A $350 iPhone was reported stolen from a restaurant in the 1200 block at 2:54 p.m. Thursday.

South Coast Highway: A door person accused someone of taking his/her eyeglasses and throwing them in the street at a restaurant in the 300 block at 11 p.m. Sunday.

South Coast Highway: A Newport Beach man as arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop in the 100 block at 2:02 a.m. Tuesday.

St. Ann’s Drive: A Newport Beach man was issued a citation for drug use in the 100 block at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday.

Arch Street: A Laguna Beach man was cited for having marijuana after police responded to a report of a fight in the 200 block at 9:48 a.m. Wednesday.

Miramar Street: Paramedics were called after a 2-year-old swallowed bug killer at 12:52 p.m. Saturday.

Mountain Road: A report of a hazardous substance coming out of a storm drain was determined to be soapsuds in the 100 block of the beach at 7:34 a.m. Monday.

Rim Rock Canyon Road: A Laguna Beach man was issued a citation for drug use in the 1900 block at 1:28 p.m. Tuesday.

South Coast Highway: An injured person was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision at Mountain Road at 2:51 p.m. Friday.

South Coast Highway: A wallet valued at $800 was reported stolen from a diner at a restaurant in the 1200 block at 11:10 p.m. Sunday.

South Coast Highway: $400 cash was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1800 block at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday.

Bay Drive: An injured seal was reported on the beach in the first block of the beach at Three Arch Bay at 7:28 a.m. Saturday.

Coast Highway: A Dana Point woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after knocking down a sign at Third Avenue at 2:05 a.m. Monday.

Monterey Street: Cars were reported egged in the 31000 block at 8:11 a.m. Monday.

N. Alta Mira Road: An antique rocking chair was reported stolen from a garage in the first block at 2:09 p.m. Wednesday.

Wesley Drive: A fire caused by a burning pan on a stove was put out in about 10 minutes in the 21000 block at 4:17 p.m. Monday.
